Autonomic nervous system: sympathetic (SNS) and parasympathetic (PNS)

SNS – norepinephrine (nor-epin-ephrine like ‘nor-epee-neffrine’) or noradrenaline, and adrenal epinephrine or adrenaline from the adrenal medulla found above the kidneys (medulla – marrow or middle). Norepinephrine works on just the alpha recepetors in the blood vessels but epinephrine works onf alpha and beta receptors wtih beta receptors found in the lungs and heart and arterioles of skeletal muscle hence adrenaline (or epinephrine rush).
