Welcome, welcome, welcome. Come in and have a look around to the world that we call the J Mindset where where we seek out an understanding on how things, mainly people, can be better in everyday activities and well being. We do this by looking hard at the reality of everyday life and then check the current understanding on how things are supposed to work. We do this through four different lenses to allow us to see as many colours as possible. 1) Economics – the resulting state of a system based on it’s previous behaviour and forces. Economics provide our blue lens as it doesn’t get involved with the why of an interaction but the result of it; 2) Biology – the chaotic interaction of chemical molecules in living systems. Biology looks at how humans work from the basics of physiology to the complexity of neuroscience. Biology provides our red lens which starts to think about the what behind a behaviour (cause and effect). 3) Psychology – the modelling of the human mind and how it interprets itself and others. Psychology provides our green lens that helps us understand human emotion and internal mental state. Finally 4) Sociology – the modelling of many human minds into groups and cultures. Sociology provides our orange lens that looks to understand the dynamics of the world we have created and the one that creates us.
These four subjects underpin the work that we do here which is to create things that can be of practical use for you to be better either within yourself and your thoughts and behaviours or when working with others or trying to understand why the world is this way at the moment.
How you think about the world dramatically effects how well you feel about it. The way that you think is not fixed but changes and flexes over time based on your experiences with your experiences being divided into first hand (experienced your self through your senses) to second hand (where you are told). The J Mindset is a set of practices, methods, and frameworks that will enable you to see the world from different view points to empower you to change and improve both mentally, physically and emotionally.
How does the J Mindset work?
The J Mindset is based on our 3PC model
3 P – personal, persistence, patience
3 C – Context, clarity, commitment
