Change is happening all the time – things are moving in the universe as time passes. As humans we are unique in being able to picture our futures and able to make decisions to change. When change is easy then nothing is needed as the natural energy will take it there. When change is hard then a energy is needed to break the current path to form the new one. This change in state creates an initial drop in value due to inelastic constraints which changes into electic promotion accelerating the formation of the new. This is the J curve and it is fundamental to controlling change through accepting the current state, energy, and forming the new state.

Mindset - how you interpret the world

Mindset

The other part of the J Curve is the understanding of human thinking and how it shapes motivation and decision making – our mindset. The way that a person thinks is totally unique to them as it is a combination of genetics, environmental exposure, and internal experiences within the life of that person. The way that a person views the world and how they think about how it was, is and will be is collectively called a person’s mindset.

The mindset is neither fixed nor open to endless possibilities. However, it can be improved through practice like any other organ but also made worse through both indirect and direct actions.
